Beer & Wine Safety Laws
Every year, more and more accidents are attributed to Driving under the Influence. Thus, the local governments of each state, were motivated to come up with stricter laws and harsher punishments.
One of the most stringent safety regulation the government has enforced on beer and wines, is the requirement of permits before any establishment can sell or serve any alcoholic beverages.
Also, establishments selling and serving beer and wines, must be within a specified distance of 300 feet, away from schools, churches, and public hospitals. Licenses and permits to sell and serve alcoholic beverages must also be shown in plain site.
On the preparation side, there are many regulations and laws that constrain the methods of preparing beer or wine. Like, the water used must be distilled, the raw materials must be fermented only under a certain amount of time, etc. The makers must make sure that the beer and wines are perfectly fermented and prepared, for consumption. Before they are to be released to the market, sufficient samples should be tested for bacteria content and other factors.
Labels on any alcoholic beverages must be so that the main ingredients and alcohol content are clearly visible.
Legal sale of any alcoholic beverage should not occur after 12 midnight, or before 7 AM, except for Sundays, where legal sales should not occur after 12 midnight or before 12 noon.
